Dear SIDO Colleagues,

Welcome to the 2018 SIDO Washington Forum! Thank you for making the trip to our nation’s capital and we’re looking forward to an exciting couple of days.

On behalf of our SIDO leaders, we sincerely appreciate your participation in our Washington Forum and for your ongoing support. For those who are not yet members, we would encourage you to become a member. Please feel free to reach out to me or any of our board members if you are interested.

Our Washington Forum is an important platform for SIDO to come together to communicate our advocacy priorities with Congressional and federal policymakers, share best practices, and network with our private and international partners. Your participation is vital to our ongoing mission to strengthen the role of state international trade offices, and your ability to help more businesses export and attract investment to your respective state.

We are excited to partner again with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and to participate in their 2018 Investment Summit. In addition, we are pleased to partner with the National Governors Association on an exciting international networking reception on Capitol Hill.  We’ll bring together governors, ambassadors, members of congress, state trade directors, and private sector partners for an evening of networking and discussion focused on the importance of international trade.

Naturally, these opportunities would not be possible without the support of our partners and sponsors. They play an important role in providing insights on key markets, resources, and services to best assist our state trade offices.  Please help me thank each of our sponsors for their ongoing support to our mission!

Finally, please mark your calendars for our 2018 Best Practices in Training Forum in Minneapolis, Minnesota on July 31 to August 2. We’re excited to work with the Minnesota Trade Office and putting together a great program.

Thank you again for your ongoing support to SIDO, we’re looking forward to an exciting couple days together.  Welcome to Washington, DC!

Sincerely,

David Mathe
